Getting Started with AiNoter

This guide will help you install AiNoter, create your first prompt, and copy it into any app using search, hotkeys, or Quick Access.

1. Installation

AiNoter is available on the macOS App Store.

  1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Search for “AiNoter”.
  3. Click “Get” and then “Install” to download and install the application.
  4. Once installed, you can find AiNoter in your Applications folder and launch it.

2. Your First Prompt

Let’s create a simple text snippet you can reuse.

  1. Launch AiNoter. You’ll be greeted with an intuitive interface.

  2. Click the “New Prompt” button (often shown as a + icon).

  3. Enter a Title: Give your prompt a descriptive name, e.g., “Email Signature”.

  4. Add Content: In the main text area, type or paste the content of your snippet.

  5. Choose a Folder (Optional): Place the prompt into a folder to keep your library organized.

  6. Save Your Prompt: Click the “Save” button.

3. Basic Usage

Now that you have a prompt, let’s see how to use it.

  1. Open any application where you want to use your text (Mail, Slack, Notion, a web browser, etc.).
  2. Copy from AiNoter:
    • Use Search to find your prompt and click Copy, or
    • Use your configured hotkey for that prompt.
  3. Paste into your active app (⌘V).
  4. Quick Access (optional): Open the Quick Access window using its hotkey, then copy a prompt by typing its numbers — for example, 2 1 means folder #2 → prompt #1.
